Sarah has been in practice for 28 years. She trained at The London School of Chinese Clinical Massage Therapy and London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She continued her education and clinical development in China, at the Nanjing university of traditional Chinese medicine with Dr Wang Jian Min and in Beijing with acupuncture specialist Dr Wang Ju Yi. Sarah is keenly involved with continuing her professional development, she has studied acupuncture for children with Julian Scott, acupuncture for fertility, and Classical Chinese Medicine and the Daoist arts of self cultivation with the Association of Traditional studies and with Jeffrey Yuen. Sarah is a member of the British Acupuncture Council the NHS Register of Complementary therapists and the UK Register of Tui na Chinese Massage.
Sarah is the founder and Director of Blackheath Complementary Health Centre which opened in May 2000. She also practices from the Centre.
Sarah has been teaching Tui na since 2000. She was Tui na course Co-ordinator and senior lecturer at the London College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from 2000-2010 and Tui na course co-ordinator and senior lecturer at the City College of Acupuncture from 2012-2020. Sarah began teaching her own Tui na Diploma course in 2021.
Sarah is the author of ‘Chinese massage manual’ and ‘Tui na: A manual of Chinese massage therapy’, published by Singing Dragon. In 2019, she filmed her online Tui na course ‘Advanced Tui Na – The complete online Programme for Acupuncturists’ with Pacific Rim College Online in Victoria, BC.
Sarah is developing and integrating sound healing into her work as an acupuncturist and Tui na practitioner. She has trained in the therapeutic application of planetary tuning forks, gongs, voice and other healing instruments. She also runs gong and sound bath mediations at the centre.
Sarah has been practicing Reiki since 1994, becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher in 1997 and teaches Reiki classes at the Centre.
