Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis as a means of positively altering patterns of behaviour, thoughts or feelings. This therapy is directed to eliminate feelings of physical or emotional discomfort, alter a person’s thoughts, perceptions and behaviour, and direct to further improvement, as per clients’ directions.

Hypnosis is a highly focused state of attention in which one is able to access a wealth of unconscious resources for self-growth and change. The trance state is actually a natural phenomenon, sometimes occurring spontaneously (eg being lost in a compelling daydream or in a book/music).

Hypnotherapy utilises your imagination, teaches you to relax and understand yourself, and sometimes learn things about yourself that you can be pleasantly surprised about. With hynotherapy you can potentially achieve anything you want, by simply focusing on your goals through hypnosis. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool to unlock your mind’s great ability to heal itself. It can be used to modify perception and behaviour in a multitude of areas. Today hypnosis is applied to many problems, issues and challenges in our every day life including pain, depression, anxiety, fear, stress, habit control, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and many other psychological and medical problems. It is popular for managing weight loss, grief, insomnia, confidence and Stop Smoking.

What happens when you come for treatment?
Hypnosis is induced by the hypnotherapist’s voice, and many are likely to feel surprised that they are not asleep but just simply deeply relaxed and feel peaceful in the state of hypnosis. Many people find their senses to be far more alert than usual during hypnosis, you will hear everything that is going on around you and feel alert.

Any person who possesses an average intelligence and an average imagination can be hypnotised. One only needs to trust the hypnotherapist and be willing to cooperate. If you feel the need to prove that it won’t work, it may not work. Try to relax, remove interruptions, and let your imagination experience in all senses what can be a wonderful experience of healing and achieving your success.

Who Can Benefit from Hypnosis?
Anyone whose true desire is to make positive changes in his/her life can benefit from hypnosis/hypnotherapy. The potential is limitless. The added advantage of hypnosis is that the changes made on the subconscious level are long-lasting and more durable, than those made on the conscious level.

More information

Your Conscious Mind:
Hypnosis is a wonderful and powerful tool in the hands of a skilled hypnotherapist. There is conscious mind and there is subconscious mind (unconscious mind). Hypnosis is simply a method to get the conscious mind to step aside and allow the subconscious mind to come forward. In the altered state of hypnosis a hypnotherapist talks to the subconscious mind directly. This state is also called a state of heightened suggestibility. Our conscious mind has four functions:
1. Analytical – it is a problem solver;
2. Rational – it reasons to why things happen;
3. It houses Will Power – from where we draw a short term boost of determination toward a solution;
4. It holds short-term (temporary) memory.

Your Subconscious Mind:
The subconscious mind represents who and what we are. It houses our:

1. Habits (Good, Bad, Utility) Good Habits – those that are productive. Bad Habits – those that are destructive ( smoking, compulsive eating, etc.) Utility Habits – Closing the door when leaving, covering your mouth when sneezing, etc.
2. Emotions
3. Long Term (Permanent) Memory
