Stop Smoking
Do you want to stop smoking permanently? Are you a smoker? Do you want to quit smoking now?
Is it too hard or too much of a sacrifice to give it up using willpower alone? Do you need help? Would you like to stop smoking in just one session? Just imagine how your life could be if you never wanted or desired a cigarette ever again. How good would that feel? Of course nobody can make you do what you don’t want to do, but if you really DO want to stop smoking you could be free of that old habit in just one session.
Blackheath Complementary Health Centre has several skilled therapists who run Stop Smoking clinics (see above). One of the Clinical Hypnotherapists, Gill Grubb, knows what it feels like to be a smoker wanting to quit. It took her 13 years of failed attempts using willpower alone before a colleague helped her to stop smoking in one hypnosis session. This life-changing experience led her to specialise in smoking cessation. She is passionate about helping you to become a relaxed and happy non-smoker.
Since the British Medical Association approved the use of clinical hypnosis in the 1950s, thousands of people have found hypnosis to be an effective way to stop smoking, and improve their lives.
Why are people nervous about stopping smoking? Why do people continue to smoke? With years of experience in dealing with the mind, we have found the answer to be the same all over the world. It all comes down to one thing ….. FEAR.
Fear that you won’t cope with the stresses and strains of life
Fear that you won’t be able to enjoy yourself
Fear that you will put on weight or get irritable
Fear that you’ll never be truly free of the cravings and desires
All examples of one overriding fear: fear that it is going to be too painful or difficult!
The beauty of hypnosis is that it removes this fear and with it any feeling of deprivation, so it removes the desire to smoke. One of the reasons why it’s neither painful nor difficult to stop smoking with this method, in fact one of the reasons why it is so popular, is that therapist Gill Grubb for example transfers the pleasure derived from smoking to a healthier habit of your choice e.g. exercise, drinking more water, deep breathing or relaxation. This is the reason why there is NO unwanted weight gain or irritability associated with kicking the habit – the only side-effects are an increase in health, wealth and freedom. Gill uses the best of traditional hypnotherapy techniques and combine them with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), the study of personal achievement, which takes hypnosis to an even greater level of effectiveness.
