Simone is now registered with CNHC (along with CthA) and is able to see those with genuine health issues and can offer Aromatherapy, remedial and deep tissue massage.
She qualified in massage in 1995 (ITEC) and took her Aromatherapy exams in 2000 (ITEC). Since then she has built up a strong loyal client base, working privately; at Blackheath Complementary Health Centre; and as a locum at the Dulwich therapy rooms during holiday times or when required. Simone is also trained as a “massage in schools” instructor, which has enabled her to assist groups of both young and old to give talks and demonstrations on promoting positive touch, massage and Aromatherapy.
In February 2009 Simone began the first of three seasons work with Erin O’ Conner on an exciting and worthwhile project with London Fashion Week. The project was set up to support and educate young people on the benefits of natural therapies. Simone worked alongside other professionals, giving advice and treatments to those who perhaps had little knowledge of such therapies. She particularly encouraged the awareness of good nutrition and the importance of seeking sensitive and supportive treatments where necessary.
Simone loves her job and gains much satisfaction from delivering a tailored treatment to every client. Remedial massage works on the muscles to release tension and pain and helps encourage the body to release toxins, improve circulation, and ease movement of the body. With supportive massage Simone believes it is possible to tap into the happy hormone oxcytocine, encouraging the body’s own ability to repair and heal itself as well as prompt feelings of wellbeing. Simone feels that most people would benefit enormously from this marvellous ancient instinctive practice.
