Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy promotes relaxation and wellbeing through the use of pure essential oils. These oils are concentrated extracts of plants and fruit, each prized for their therapeutic properties.

Aromatherapy massage is based on Swedish massage techniques, but the massage is slowed down, and strokes are usually slower and lighter.

After initial consultation a blend of essential oils is created by the practitioner (specific to the client’s needs) and used in the massage. A small amount of plant/fruit extracts is absorbed through the pores of the skin, but the majority of the effect comes from inhalation of the vapour.
