Karen McCaffrey

Karen is an actress, life coach and Yin Yoga teacher.

Karen’s first experiences of yoga were in the late 1990s at The Arches Leisure Centre in Greenwich and the Iyengar Yoga Institute in New Cross, London.

She was on a spiritual journey and had spent a year working on A Course in Miracles to deepen her meditation experiences. She also enjoyed the athletic aspect that came with the practice.

Life kicked in, all things spiritual were abandoned and she trained as a gym instructor to support her ongoing career as an actress.

She began Hot Bikram yoga at Canary Wharf in 2011 then later at London Bridge and has been a regular participant ever since practicing Bikram, Yin, Vinyasa and Inferno Pilates.

This year she was offered a scholarship from Bikram yoga London to train as a Yin Yoga teacher and is delighted to be offering these classes both at London Bridge and Blackheath Complementary Health Centre.
