CELTIC WHEEL YOGA
Celtic Wheel
The Celtic Wheel of the Year is an ancient calendar system that marks the changing seasons and festivals in Celtic tradition.
It consists of eight festivals, including the fire cross quarter festivals of Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane, and Lughnasadh, which are celebrated throughout the year. Plus, both Equinoxes and both Solstices.
The Wheel of the Year reflects the interconnectedness of nature, spirituality, and community in Celtic beliefs.
These sessions take place every 6-7 weeks, as we make our way around the Celtic Wheel of the Year.
They include seasonally appropriate and supportive yoga asana and somatic practices as we transition through Winter to Spring, through Summer to Autumn.
Yoga Nidra, mudras, bandhas, pranayama and meditation are all included, as well as a short collective ceremony/ritual to commemorate the relevant phase of the Wheel which can take the form of reflection and Nature based devotional “prayers” from the Druidic tradition.
The intention of these sessions is to align ourselves with the rhythms of Nature and to learn from the wisdom therein.
Please contact Bernadette to book a place on the latest celebration or to be kept informed of others either at the Studio, or Celtic Wheel residential retreats both in the U.K. and abroad.
