Vinita graduated from the University of Westminster in 1999 after a 3-year honours degree in Podiatric Medicine. Previous to this she undertook a 1-year undergraduate pre-med programme whilst living in the USA. Vinita started work with the NHS to develop her skills and after eight years and three children, left to concentrate on her growing private practice.
Vinita has a strong interest in alternative/complementary medicine and believes in treating foot conditions wherever possible, by natural means. By their very nature these tend to be more gentle than traditional chiropody.
Because the feet are complex and hard-working they are subject to many ills and provide early indications of many seemingly unrelated conditions such as diabetes, circulatory disorder, kidney problems, arthritis and anaemia. Vinita treats many common foot problems including; corns and callouses, bunions, athletes foot, nail disorders, verrucae, blisters, chilblains and infections and can provide advice and recommendations on related issues such as footwear or biomechanics.
Vinita continues her professional development through seminars and events throughout the year and is a member of both the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists and Health Professions Council, who ensure rigorous standards in practice and ethics. She is about to undertake a year’s course in podatric homeopathy, thus furthering her scope and depth of knowledge in this field.
