Shaun Mercier

Before undertaking a degree in osteopathy, Shaun worked in publishing as a graphic designer for over 12 years and understands firsthand the toll that hours of desk work can take on the body. He sought holistic practices such as yoga, movement arts, and Thai yoga massage to combat the negative impacts of desk life. During this journey, he has accumulated over 500 hours of yoga teacher training and earned several qualifications in Thai yoga massage, herbal compress, and gua sha.
Further to his Osteopathic training Shaun then went on to complete an integrated master’s degree in osteopathy.
Shaun brings a deep understanding of anatomy, movement, and body mechanics to his practice.
Sitting for long hours can lead to achy joints and tight muscles, especially in the back, neck, shoulders, and hips. Shaun’s approach is firm yet gentle methods blending soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, acupressure, assisted stretches, and indirect techniques. This targeted approach alleviates muscle tension and joint stiffness, encourages improved posture and increased mobility, and soothes the nervous system, providing holistic care for the whole body.
