Acupuncture, Tui na
Stephanie decided to study acupuncture and Tui na after receiving successful treatment herself for many years. This positive experience inspired her to change her career away from an intense commercial environment and to follow a path in Chinese medicine. Stephanie graduated in 2008 with a first class honours degree in acupuncture and a licentiate diploma in Tui na, both from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture in London. Stephanie also holds a certificate in qi gong.
Towards the end of 2008 Stephanie undertook post-graduate study in acupuncture and Tui na in Vietnam and China, where she spent 3 months gaining clinical experience in both private clinics and hospitals. She has a post-graduate certificate in facial revitalisation acupuncture, which offers a holistic alternative to chemical and surgical treatments, training with globally renowned expert Virginia Doran.
Stephanie has undertaken further studies in the use of Chinese medicine for treating children, fertility issues and providing support during pregnancy. Stephanie has also worked in an addiction clinic and is qualified in the NADA protocol, a treatment approach widely used in this area. Since the beginning of 2009 Stephanie has been establishing her own private practises in Surrey. She believes strongly in a partnership approach to healing, focusing treatment on the areas of greatest importance to each individual and building a unique treatment plan around these.
Stephanie is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, which guarantees a high standard of training and adherence to a strict professional and ethical code of conduct, and supervises acupuncture graduates in the training clinic at the centre.
Stephanie enjoys independent travel, music and cricket.
