Qualified in massage in 1995 (ITEC) and took Aromatherapy exams in 2000 (ITEC).
Over the years I have built up a strong loyal client base, and I work privately and in the Blackheath Clinic as well as a locum at the Dulwich therapy rooms during holiday times or when required.
I am also trained as a “massage in schools” instructor which has enabled me to assist groups of both young and old to give talks and demonstrations on promoting positive touch, massage and Aromatherapy.
Since February 2009 I have had the privilege of working 3 seasons for Erin O’ Conner on a very worth while project with London Fashion Week. It has been set up to support and educate young people with the benefits of natural therapies. I work along side other professionals giving advice and treatments to those who often have little knowledge of such therapies. Encouraging good nutrition and seeking sensitive and supportive treatments when and if the occasion arises.
I continue to love my job immensely and feel as much satisfaction in delivering a tailored treatment to each individual client I see.
Remedial massage works on the muscles to release tension and pain and helps encourage the body to release toxins, improve circulation, and ease movement of the body.
With supportive massage we can tap into the happy hormone oxcytocine encouraging our own ability to repair and heal itself prompting feelings of contention and well being in our busy, stressful lives. All with a few exceptions can benefit from this marvellous ancient instinctive practice.
