Her studies in Oriental medicine began in 1992 at The London School of Chinese Clinical Massage Therapy where she trained in Tui na for three years. In 1994 she travelled to Nanjing in China to gain clinical experience at the Nanjing 2nd Affiliated Hospital. She continued her studies in acupuncture at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council
In May 2000 she set up and opened the Blackheath Complementary Health Centre where she has her main practice. She runs a low cost clinic for the elderly on Wednesday mornings from the centre where acupuncture and tui na students often come to observe.
She has been practicing Reiki since 1994 becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher in 1997 and teaches regular reiki classes at the centre throughout the year.
Sarah is the Tui na course Co-ordinator and senior lecturer at the London College of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.
She is the author of ‘Chinese massage manual’ published by Piatkus in 1999 and
has recently been commissioned by Churchill Livingstone to write a book on Tui na for students and practitioners of Tui na and acupuncture.
Sarah has a great passion for Oriental medicine and is constantly furthering her knowledge by undertaking post-graduate studies in subjects such as fertility and the treatment of children. She has twelve years of experience treating a wide range of patients from babies with colic to the elderly with osteoarthritis.
Sarah loves music and writing poetry and sings with a rock and a jazz group - when not at the centre!
