Polly Teale

Polly Teale is trained in arts psychotherapy (MA in Arts Psychotherapy from the Institute for the Arts in Therapy and Education (Distinction). Member of BACP and PAC). She designed a program called Connection, Creativity and Resilience which she delivers in drama schools (Guildhall, RADA, Central, East 15, Drama Centre, BRIT). She currently specialises in running sessions with staff exploring the experience of change and transition. She also runs an arts-based counselling service at The International School of Screen Acting, and at The British American Drama Academy. Polly has worked with trauma and complex PTSD within the NHS.

She has a private practice in Blackheath in South East London.

Polly Teale was the Artistic Director of award winning touring theatre company Shared Experience, with productions she wrote and directed regularly transferring to the West End.

Shared Experience’s productions were accompanied by an extensive education and outreach programme. Polly has run workshops for the Arvon Foundation, The National Theatre and British Council as well as in universities and theatres throughout the world.
