BA Hons, ITEC Dip. C & G Dip

Morag Wightman is a Scottish Sports Massage Practitioner who has been massaging in London for over 10 years. She originally trained as a contemporary dancer at Laban Centre, London, after a youth of extensive sports training. She then went on to perform, teach and choreograph dance, stilt and abseil acrobatics in companies such as The National Centre of Circus Arts, The Royal Opera House, Scarabeus Theatre, The Arts Catalyst and An Act Above. She directed her performance company Craos Mor doing abseil, dance, underwater and zero gravity movement research during which she was the first British dancer to perform in zero gravity with The Russian Space Agency.

She qualified in Swedish Massage in 2003 and Sports Massage in 2006 during injury time off and has been massaging circus, dance and musician performers, manual workers, knackered people, amateur sports people, body aware professionals, mums and boxed up office workers at her own private clinic in Brockley from 2003 to 2016 as well as at circus performers hotels around the world while on tour.

For all kinds of reasons such as getting some perspective, healing from injury, rebalancing, de-stressing, re-aligning, restoring energy, preventing injury, getting a bit of zip back, Morag is passionate about helping you on your way to feeling and functioning with greater ease. It can be a hard and demanding life and some of our energy gets trapped in tension, fatigue, injury, chronic conditions and postural entrapment. As I discovered during my massage training, while feeling a bit, well old and on my way out (!), massage releases tight muscles and fatigued bodies and is just…. well… necessary for feeling good as time passes….!
