Mindfulness Taster Session

About the session
Often we go through life on automatic pilot. Rarely do we stop to pay attention to what is going on around us.
Whether you’re brand new to mindfulness or have had some experience, join me for an introduction to the simple yet powerful world of mindfulness through guided meditation, experiential activities and group discussion.
During this friendly group session guided by certified mindfulness teacher, Tammy Driver, you’ll be given an introduction to what mindfulness is, how it is practiced, and guided through some short practices and a meditation. 
You’ll come away with some simple practices to help you incorporate mindfulness into your daily life, as well as some suggestions for the next steps to take on your journey with mindfulness.
The session will be one hour with 30 minutes for questions. 
Who this is suitable for 
Anyone experiencing stress associated with work, relationships, loss and other factors outside your control, including dealing with the general complexity and pace of modern life. Anyone with a long-term health condition, illness or chronic pain. 
Those with a general interest in mindfulness are also very welcome. 
Please arrive a little before the session is due to take place – the session is for a relatively brief time so we start promptly and latecomers are discouraged from coming into the class.
On completion
As well as giving you an introduction to mindfulness, this taster will also allow you to understand if the 8-week Mindfulness for Health course starting in September is suitable for you.
Suitability and booking
The course is open to all and will take place in a small group with a maximum of 10 participants.
